Spiced Mango Banana smoothie


SPICED MANGO BANANA SMOOTHIE....
A SUPERFOOD AND ANTIOXIDANT COMBO



Before you say "ewww that's gross" when you look at the list of ingredients, you have to hear me out: this recipe is surprisingly sweet (even when you use a banana that isn't brown spotted). There are no added sweeteners---no agave, truvia, or any sweeteners whatsoever. The flavor is from the spices and fruits we add to the smoothie. I personally have a very sweet tooth, and this definitely satisfies my sweet cravings.


This smoothie has it all--the taste that satisfies, the antioxidants from the superfood turmeric, as well as the omegas from coconut oil and chia seed. I found it difficult to incorporate turmeric into my diet...and even harder to try and use coconut oil to cook or bake since I have time for neither. This recipe does it all.









1 cup coconut or hemp milk

1 whole banana
½ cup frozen pineapple or mango
1 teaspoon cucurmin (turmeric)
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon fresh grated ginger
1 teaspoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon coconut oil
 1 scoop of your favorite protein powder (optional)
