Living Busy tip: THE FASTEST WAY TO COOK CORN (less than 5 minutes)


THE FASTEST WAY TO COOK CORN 
(in less than 5 minutes)





i use this technique to cook corn all the time, no need to wait for the water to boil, no need to have to cook an ear at a time and end up only eating a few of them.... cook one, eat one, done!





STEP 1: UNWRAP EVERYTHING














STEP 2: WRAP WITH A PAPER TOWEL











STEP 3: GET IT WET (SOAK IT), AND SQUEEZE OUT EXCESS WATER











 STEP 4. WRAP IN PLASTIC SHRINK WRAP (any type will do). Make sure to fold over the edges, this creates a vacuum so water moisture from the wet paper towel does not escape

STEP 5.  MICROWAVE FOR 4.5 minutes. the wet paper towel now acts as a hot steam that will cook the corn in a very short amount of time



STEP 6: when taking out of the microwave, by now the plastic wrap would've clung wrap tightly to the corn. I use a knife to pierce through the plastic and peel off the paper towel and plastic (using oven mitts, the corn is very hot!). Be careful of the hot steam coming out.
